Lady at the reception gave us an in-depth tour and really went down to lots of details regarding the famous quints. Other local artifacts and historical events were on display as well, you can almost feel the enthusiasm of the curator. Would recommend to anyone who is interested in the story of the Dionne Quints and the local history of Northern Ontario.

Just so historical . Awesome. Just like your actually living the era. The barber shop and lawyers office. Everything is like your in that time. I could picture the men getting their shave and haircut. The sinks , the old equipment , the chairs.. perfect.

Very disappointed to arrive here at 2:00 pm from Oshawa and find the museum closed. The website clearly said it was opened Tuesday to Saturday 10:00-5:00! Does not leave a good impression of the town of Callander. Another lady arrived from Bowmanville with a donation of a heritage artifact and was also very upset. Obviously tourism is not a high priority here.

Amazing museum. I absolutely love all the artifacts and paintings and rooms. Its a very small place but the packed it so full you could be there for hours and still not have seen everything. The quintuplets room is marvelous!

I visited the museum today and enjoyed seeing Dr Dafoe’s house and especially the Dionne quintuplets memorabilia. I also enjoyed seeing the 1920’s barber shop and the wartime souvenirs, including the WW1 nurse’s uniform. Thanks to Emily for her wealth of knowledge about the Dionne quints story and her enthusiasm. Well done!
